Den Eeuwigen Beenhouwer

Den Eeuwigen Beenhouwer is a local butcher shop in Herzele. They pride on the origin of their pigs meat: the Livar farm just across the border with The Netherlands. They are a young couple of entrepreneurs starting a butcher shop, practically the middle of nowhere. But their fine meats are home made and the spices they use for the preparations are real flavor-bombs.

Following Hans & Justine on a trip to Livar we made a documentary about the pigs. The farm is housed on the lands of an active monastery! Back home in their butchery they prepare sausages, cooked ham and their famous smoked beer ham.
