FOOD
PHOTOGRAPHER
AND
FOOD STYLIST

French Beans was founded by me, Eveline Boone. I achieved my Bachelors’ degree in Photography from Antwerp College, and I am self-taught food stylist. Ever since I started out as a food photographer, my dream was to own and run a professional photography studio.

In 2017, I fell in love with an old farm in De Vlaamse Ardennen and decided to renovate the barn into a photo studio. The studio now is our home base for food photography and food styling. My passion for food and beverage reflects on set as well as in my everyday life. Whether it’s trying new restaurants, traveling, or collecting beautiful cookbooks.

As a photographer working with food, I find collaborating with food stylists, videographers, graphic designers, set dressers and many other skilled people very inspiring. By putting together a team to every clients’ needs, we can accommodate any food project big or small, in the studio or on location.

Since 2018 I have been practising ceramics. A hobby that has grown into a passion (some would say obsession) ever since. I love to create tableware that is perfect for food photography and develop my own glazes, resulting in unique handmade objects. My ceramics are not for sale but can be used by stylists while working on a project with me. I believe this can create an added value for your food photos.

BOOK:
FOOD PHOTOS & STYLING

When Lannoo Publishers asked me to write a book about Food photography I was honoured to be given this unique opportunity to contribute my knowledge to aspiring food photographers, food stylists and foodies.

Food photographer and stylist Eveline Boone shares with us her love for photography. In this book she teaches foodstyling and compositional techniques, with which to make super food photos with a camera or smartphone. Food Photos & Styling provides the tools you need for better food photos, with tips for styling food dishes quickly and effectively.

This book helps you use photos to encourage your viewers to try out your recipes, purchase your products, or simply like your post; Eveline Boone of French Beans is an independent food photographer, specializing in food styling. Her passion for food and drink is reflected both on set and in her daily life, testing new restaurants, travelling or putting together attractive cookery books.
